  • Notify the Board through the Band app with as much notice as possible. Provide at least two weeks' notice for planned absences and notify within 48 hours for emergencies. Post on Band if you will be absent or tardy and email within 48 hours. Only speak for yourself. Do NOT text the Board; use Band for all notifications. For detailed policies, refer to the "Absences, Communication, and Penalties (Practices)" and "Absences, Communication, and Penalties (Events)" sections.

  • Missing a practice incurs a $75 fee. Missing an event incurs a $100 fee. Consistent attendance is crucial for skill development and team unity. For detailed policies, refer to the "Absences, Communication, and Penalties (Practices)" and "Absences, Communication, and Penalties (Events)" sections.

  • Notify the Board at least two weeks in advance for planned absences. In emergencies, reach out within 48 hours. Post on Band if you will be absent or tardy and email within 48 hours.   • All members are required to attend all mandatory events. Arrive on time, in full uniform, and prepared to perform. For detailed policies, refer to the "Absences, Communication, and Penalties (Events)" section.

  • Not being adequately prepared for practice results in a $25 fee. Not being adequately prepared for an event incurs a $60 fee. For detailed policies, refer to the "Absences, Communication, and Penalties (Practices)" and "Absences, Communication, and Penalties (Events)" sections.

  • Production Members and Volunteers must wear the official Production Team/Volunteer shirt, any official Cheer Fort Lauderdale attire, or our team colors. Details are in the "Production Members and Volunteers" section.

  • No alterations to team attire are allowed without Board approval. This applies to both cheerleader uniforms and Production Team/Volunteer shirts. See the "Uniforms" and "Production Members and Volunteers" sections for details.

  • Team fees can be paid through the methods outlined in our Handbook. Payment dates and amounts are specified in the "Cheer Fort Lauderdale Fees" and "Cheer Fort Lauderdale Payment Dates" sections.

  • If you choose to leave the team, no fees will be refunded, and there will be an early termination fee of $250 due upon your resignation. For detailed policies, refer to the "Resignation/Dismissal from Team" section.

  • Disclose all medical information to Cheer Fort Lauderdale. You may be asked to provide a medical release form from your doctor. For detailed policies, refer to the "Medical Information" section.

  • Members must represent Cheer Fort Lauderdale positively on social media. Repost, like, and interact with all Cheer Fort Lauderdale accounts. Members who do not use social media are encouraged to promote the team through flyer distribution and other means. For detailed policies, refer to the "Social Media Policy" section.

  • Tardiness/Early Departure (Practice): $15 fee for every 15-minute interval you are late to or leave early from practice, after the 15-minute grace period. 

    • Arriving Late: Grace period: 8:00 PM to 8:15 PM (no fee) 

    Example 1: Arriving at 8:30 PM incurs a $15 fee. 

    Example 2: Arriving at 8:45 PM incurs a $30 fee. 

    Example 3: Arriving at 9:00 PM incurs a $45 fee. 

    • Leaving Early: Grace period: 10:45 PM to 11:00 PM (no fee) 

    Example 1: Leaving at 10:30 PM incurs a $15 fee. 

    Example 2: Leaving at 10:15 PM incurs a $30 fee. 

    Example 3: Leaving at 10:00 PM incurs a $45 fee.

  • Tardiness/Early Departure (Performance): $30 fee for every 15-minute interval you are late to or leave early from a performance, after the 15-minute grace period. 

    • Arriving Late: Grace period: 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM (no fee) 

    Example 1: Arriving at 1:30 PM incurs a $30 fee. 

    Example 2: Arriving at 1:45 PM incurs a $60 fee. 

    Example 3: Arriving at 2:00 PM incurs a $90 fee. 

    • Leaving Early: Grace period: 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM (no fee) 

    Example 1: Leaving at 4:30 PM incurs a $30 fee. 

    Example 2: Leaving at 4:15 PM incurs a $60 fee. 

    Example 3: Leaving at 4:00 PM incurs a $90 fee.
